Get garden ready for summer with these top tips

Hey garden gang,

Can you feel it? That golden shift in the air? Spring is stretching, summer’s peeking around the corner, and your garden yep, that wild little plot of green is officially calling your name.

If winter had your outdoor space looking more “abandoned cottage” than “Pinterest dream,” don’t worry we’re all in the same (overgrown) boat. But now is the time to clear the clutter, wake up your soil, and prep your garden for its big summer glow up.

Here’s how you can get yours summer ready!

🌿 Step one: Clean sweep. Say goodbye to dead leaves, rogue twigs, and last year’s regrets. Grab a rake, crank up a playlist, and transform the whole space. If it doesn’t spark joy (or bloom), it’s out.

🌱 Step two: Soil = skincare.
Your garden’s glow starts from the ground up. Loosen things up with a gentle dig, feed it some compost, and let it breathe. This is your garden’s version of a face mask.

🌸 Step three: Plant the vision.
Whether you're dreaming of a veggie patch, a herb corner, or a flower-filled jungle, lush borders and blooming baskets now’s the moment to make a plan. Start with going all in from the seed if you’re feeling ambitious or grab ready to go beauties from your local garden centre/nursery.

🪑 Step four: Furniture refresh.
You didn’t do all that digging just to stare at it from inside. This is your outdoor sanctuary, babe. So bring out (or invest in) the furniture that makes you want to linger. Think a cute café set for your morning coffee, a cozy corner sofa for sunset lounging, maybe even a hammock if you’re extra like that. Add pillows, throws, and a lantern or two and boom garden chic.

🔥 Step five: BBQ dreams.
If your grill’s been on vacation since last September, give it a little TLC. Clean it up, stock up on the skewers, and get your summer recipes ready. I’m talking grilled chicken, sizzling sausages and delicious burgers and don't forget that first cocktail with condensation on the glass, Perfection.

Your garden doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be yours. So plant what you love, decorate how you want, and let this be the summer your outdoor space becomes your favourite place.

See you in the garden. I’ll be the one bathing in the sun during the day and gazing under the stars at night with a cocktail in hand.🍹✨

With love,
